Wayne is proud to announce he has joined up with Matthew Hoyt and Center Stage Booking from San Antonio, Texas.  This Texas based, national and international,  booking agency has primarily worked with Texas acts in the past.  With the success of the business and fast growing popularity of their artist, they decided it was time to expand their roster.  Wayne got the nod from the Southeastern region and a deal is in the making!  Starting January, 2005, Wayne will be splitting his Southeastern touring schedule nearly in half  with shows in Texas and the Midwest, and who knows where else.  Be sure to catch all the shows near you for the remainder of the year.

Congrats to WMB's former guitar player, Dave 'Peso' Woest and his wife Debbie, with the arrival of their second son,  Maximillion 'Max' Woest.  Born July 7 in Tuscaloosa, AL.  You can catch Peso playing around Tuscaloosa with Brandon Walker from time to time.  If you run into him be sure to give his family your best.

Fallen Friends

For the following weeks, I'm dedicating the Homepage of our website to two dear friends of mine who lost their lives this past year serving our country.  They never knew each other but they were so much alike.  They were two of the most genuine people you could possibly know and they were loved by everyone fortunate enough to get to know them.  I'm truley blessed to have been a part of their lives.  Please take the time to visit their links and pay tribute to these wonderful souls.  They will be sorely missed.

Ode to the Fallen Comrade
I will never have what others have,
It was never meant to be
But I made a sacrifice
In the cause of Liberty.
You have your normal lives to live,
And that’s how it should be
But when you have some leisure time

Please pause and think of me.

WMB to Co-Headline the "1st Annual Alabama Line Jam"

 Mills & Brewer

The "jam," which will happen on July 9th on the concert grounds of the Hall of Fame, will feature Wayne Mills Band, Tony Brook, Amanda Williams, Rex Oggs, Justin Fobes, Brat and surprise national acts.

Curt Brewer, who will host the event, is asking for all mass media outlets interested in supporting the benefit to contact him directly for on-air sponsorship opportunities. To reach Curt directly, (615) 498-5996,  curtbrewer@xaust.com, or Tim White, Xaust Tampa at (813) 767-5654.

Wayne Mills Band Bus Wrecks on I-65 in Alabama
Thursday, April 21st, Wayne Mills Band was scheduled to perform with John Anderson, Sugarland and The Warren Brothers in Montgomery, Alabama. The concert, which was held at the new riverfront amphitheater, was to celebrate the first birthday of Bama Country 98.9.

Wayne Mills, along with Curt Brewer and Tim White, who had traveled ahead for Radio & TV interviews, were not on the bus when the accident occurred.

As members Jason Parker, David Gulliver, Brandon Kimbrell and manager, Justin Runnels described it; A Monsoon of a Storm, filled with tornado warnings blew through Central Alabama. The bus was traveling in the southbound passing lane of I-65, just north of Clanton, AL, when driver Rodney Booth spotted a wreck up ahead. Booth immediately began slowing down when a dump-truck traveling in the right lane, cut in front of the bands bus and slammed on the brakes. Booth was left no other option but to run the bus off into the center median of the interstate.

Although the wheels on the right side of the bus became air born, Booth managed to keep the Silver Eagle from flipping over. The band was tossed around inside the bus but managed to escape with minor scrapes and bruises.  David Gulliver (drummer) said "When the bus finally came to a stop, we were afraid to move. The bus was leaning over so far; we thought it was going to flip. When we did get off, there was about a 50 foot long groove in the median, showing us where the tires on the right side of the bus came off the ground."  The brand new dump truck, which did not have a tag, left the scene of the accident. After being praised for his driving, Rodney Booth said "The big-man upstairs is the reason we're all here today." The band, clearly shaken from the incident, reunited with Wayne Mills at the sold-out show in Montgomery.

It's the first ever birthday bash for Montgomery, Alabama's Bama Country 98.9 - WBAM and WMB has been invited to perform.  The concert, which will take place on Thursday, April 21st, will feature John Anderson, The Warren Brothers as well as hot new Country group Sugarland.

The FloraBama is not destroyed !! - Long live the Bama!

The Washington Post says:"The beach itself has been relocated to the dance floor of the Flora-Bama Lounge, a musty, grimy, wondrous roadhouse that sits on the border of the two states. The lounge, which has hosted headliners as diverse as Kid Rock and Hank Williams Jr., is so beloved that word of its possible demise was greeted with almost as much dismay as the persistence of power outages and the endless waits for ice and water. The sand rises halfway to the ceiling -- and what a ceiling it is: covered with dollar bills and dangling bras placed there in happier, raunchier times.

But despite the transformation, the annual interstate mullet toss will live again, the regulars said Friday as they ducked into the sagging hulk that was -- and is sure to be again -- Perdido Key's best-known landmark.

"We party hard," said Paul Bell, a maintenance man so loyal that he stayed at the bar during the storm. "Don't worry. We'll make it bigger and better."
